Maps caligatus

The species caligatus is known from its distribution range bordered by the Río Madeira in the east, Río Solimoes in the north, Río Purus in the west and Río Ipuxana in the south, all in Brazil. Some localities are on the “wrong side” of the Río Madeira, this could either mean that the collecters obtained animals from the other side of the river or that the river is not an absolute barrier for the species.
